Lurid art birthday gift (Rousse)
My colleague FC led me to a basement. Here she had assembled an art exhibition with all pieces displayed for sale. I selected a lurid night time scene in dark oils from the freezer and took it home as a … Continue reading
How the other half (barely) lives (Rousse)
When I was supposed to be at work I poked around my sister J’s vastly extended house in West Sussex. On the ground floor there was a luxurious self-contained holiday cottage that looked out onto a large rectangular pond destined … Continue reading

Things to do in Orkney (with Maltesers) (Rousse)
The weather was fabulous in Orkney. At the county show I bought the most enormous beef burger. In Kirkwall we watched a parade of emergency services vehicles and ate free Maltesers in the art gallery.
Breaches in mourning etiquette (Rousse)

Werewolves infiltrate British police force (Rousse)
It was hard to believe that my companion knew nothing of the court case. It had been all over the media for weeks. I pointed out the main characters from our vantage point in the public gallery and tried to … Continue reading

Missing trains and an airborne ice cream (Rousse)
PC and I missed yet another train. This time it was my fault that we were stuck in Cardiff railway station. I wasted the vital three minutes required to walk along the platform to catch the 17:00 service on zipping … Continue reading
