Sailing the Scottish coastline by log (Rousse)

ST and I planned to take the boat to Uig Community Centre. We wandered over to the pontoon where we also found JG, with TPR and JC, aboard his boat ‘Mary’.

I remained in the queue for the community boat. I was last person on and – since no seating was available – I had no choice but to balance on a log for the entire journey from east to west. This was tricky at first, but I eventually got the hang of it.

From the deck of the boat the Scottish coastline was very beautiful. I admired the deep Scandinavian style fjords as we glided along.

Our final destination was a bed and breakfast run by DM. We quickly learnt that the nearby restaurant would only serve locals and their families. TPR would pretend to be a brother of DM’s husband so that we could eat that evening.
